Alright. Deep breaths. I have mixed feeling about bullying. Bullying is terrible, and I don't think that anyone should be bullied under any circumstances. It is just horrible to get that feeling that you're useless and that everyone hates you. Bare with me on this next part though, for the most part it is taken far too seriously for MOST of those who experience it. You are all strong individuals capable of standing up for yourselves. You are amazing , if someone hates you... thats their loss because you are important.  For MOST people being bullied, from personal experiences, just ignore them and seek a teachers help. When I was younger, a very amazing and loving teacher told me this, and I will never forget it, "If someone is bullying you, give them a hug, because they feel bad enough about themselves". Please please please don't let someones words of hatred get to you.

Just remember that guidance is awesome, its in the name. You can be suspended or expelled for bullying someone, so don't be afraid to let your guidance counsellors know of incidents.

I think we as students and our teachers are doing the best we can to stop bullying. In elementary we would have police officers come in and talk to us about bullying and how.. you know... it isn't cool.

All in all maybe something like a TED talk about bullying every so often would increase awareness and decrease the number of victims.

For those being bullied, and this is as no offence to victims, but if it gets severe, maybe implement occasional mental checks on them, just to make sure they're fine, and not depressed enough to go on a killing spree. Things like that do happen.

  1. All in all, I agree with you, Aryese. Bullies are insecure people. They bully people since they crave attention/recognition from others. They want to satisfy their ego through their acts of bullying, as they are egocentric. I believe that we should pity both those who bully and those ho are being bullied. Pity for the bullies because the people they live with do not give them enough acknowledgement and to those who are being bullied, pity for them as them being bullied is a byproduct of the bullies' desperation. Also, both bullies and their victims need assistance. Instead of showing signs of admiration towards the bully, bystanders must stand up to the bully and tell him/her that what he/she is doing wrong and harassing other people will not get him any respect. This will cause the bully to feel ashamed of what he/she is doing and he/she will find another way to get accepted and that is by being morally decent. The victims, on the other hand, they need someone who will hear them out, although many victims do not want to address what's going on with his/her relation to the bully. To help them reveal their thoughts, one must be empathetic and tell him or her that you understand it's difficult for them to talk about it but if they're not going to reveal anything, you will never be able to help him or her.
