So many celebrities are treated like gods nowadays. Obviously that's a little bit too much for their title but, what can we do about that. Celebrities are the most looked up to individuals of any group of people, and that is especially coming from the younger people. There is not too much of a punishment being made for the crimes they commit. We get it, you're young, and you make mistakes, but you have to understand that for some of you, millions look up to you, the least you could do is behave in the public. The fans of these celebrities tend to stick with them no matter what they do, and will use the same excuse every single time to explain why they decide to stick with their favourite celebrities which is "Teenagers always make mistakes". While yes, I could not agree more with that statement, I still believe that its not hard to behave properly around people. I personally don't look up to celebrities because in my opinion, there is nothing for me to look up to, sure they may be successful but they don't inspire me to do the things I want to do. Going back to the whole crime thing, I honestly believe that punishments should be a little heavier, because if punishments remain as they are, the current celebrities will continue to do what they do. In conclusion, I doubt you'll ever read this celebrities, but realize that you have huge fan bases, and although you don't inspire me, you inspire a lot of people, so stay good, don't commit crimes, be the role models we want you to be!

Alright. Deep breaths. I have mixed feeling about bullying. Bullying is terrible, and I don't think that anyone should be bullied under any circumstances. It is just horrible to get that feeling that you're useless and that everyone hates you. Bare with me on this next part though, for the most part it is taken far too seriously for MOST of those who experience it. You are all strong individuals capable of standing up for yourselves. You are amazing , if someone hates you... thats their loss because you are important.  For MOST people being bullied, from personal experiences, just ignore them and seek a teachers help. When I was younger, a very amazing and loving teacher told me this, and I will never forget it, "If someone is bullying you, give them a hug, because they feel bad enough about themselves". Please please please don't let someones words of hatred get to you.

Just remember that guidance is awesome, its in the name. You can be suspended or expelled for bullying someone, so don't be afraid to let your guidance counsellors know of incidents.

I think we as students and our teachers are doing the best we can to stop bullying. In elementary we would have police officers come in and talk to us about bullying and how.. you know... it isn't cool.

All in all maybe something like a TED talk about bullying every so often would increase awareness and decrease the number of victims.

For those being bullied, and this is as no offence to victims, but if it gets severe, maybe implement occasional mental checks on them, just to make sure they're fine, and not depressed enough to go on a killing spree. Things like that do happen.

The Internet is an unpredictable place, one second everyone is mourning the loss of individuals in a terrorist activity, and the other second someone is being bashed on for making a small error as a host, poor Harvey. Why is someone being destroyed by the media? I don't know, maybe there is just nothing else for them to be doing. As soon as one thing begins to trend, people without a single thought just go along with it. Making fun of people is so fun right? Half of the individuals who made memes about Harvey didn't even watch Miss Universe! They didn't see Harvey's apologetic tweets either, which if you did, you'd feed a little bad for making fun of him for a small mistake. The main point I am trying to make is that ignorance floods the internet. During the massive lottery, there were half a million people who actually believed that the lottery would give everyone four million dollars.
To answer the main question, after my small rant, we have to be very careful on the internet. No matter how popular or unpopular you claim to be, things spread fast from one person to another. Before posting something or commenting something stupid, think about what you are doing. The friends you hang out with could accidentally put you on blast, you know, by sharing... All in all please be careful out there, and think before you do something, there are a bunch of ignorant people sitting at home impatiently waiting for the next person to make fun of.

You hate ads, I hate ads, we all really hate ads! There must be some kind of purpose towards them, maybe it's just God testing our patience, who knows. Ads come for various reasons, but the main reason behind someone installing an add isn't to annoy you and make you pay to get rid of them, rather, there is a lot of money to be made from the ads in themselves, many people throughout all of youtube make almost all of their money from the ads that are placed.

This moves us to the next part in the topic, would an add free YouTube ruin the revenue of most You-Tubers? Of course it would, they'd all be broke if everyone just decided to go ad free and pay YouTube. One reason why ad free youtube is a terrible idea, even if everyone had it.

But why the price? Isn't ten dollars a month a little too much for an ad that you can skip within a few seconds of coming up anyways, rarely you'll encounter the 30 second add, and hey, they've become a little more entertaining. 

What about the various programs that have gained so much popularity, have you heard of adblockers?  Yes, probably. It costs no money to install an adblocker, so why in the world would you be paying over a hundred dollars for a full year of no ads anyways?

In my opinion, YouTube has gone a little overboard with this, you just have to wonder what they were thinking... I hope we all as a community can conclude that ad-free youtube in itself is a terrible idea, but to add such a price tag is beyond foolish.

Please let me know though if you disagree, as I would like to know the positives of an add-free YouTube with such an expensive cost. DONT BE SCARED I WANT TO HEAR YOUR OPINIONS!

Is Television Dying? (Yes it is).

Television. We used to all watch it for hours a day, or is that just me? Probably not! Television is indeed dying, with the replacement of smartphones, us as individuals and a society have reverted away from television, why? Because they aren't as mobile as cell phones, with cell phones you can watch and do whatever you want, whenever you want, wherever. It'd be fitting to say that cell phones and tablets have absolutely outclassed televisions. The only thing the youth (and many adults) are doing at this point in time with television is using it as a source as a screen for their video games, then again, computer monitors are doing that too. There is only one primary thing that we use on the television, and that is the news, however what do you know!? that is being replaced because it is on our cell phones too! As a society we must face that nothing on this planet any time soon will replace the things we use, even with new televisions coming yearly, lets face it, when was the last time you did something on your television that you couldn't do elsewhere? As nifty as the television was, it will most probably in the near future become non-existent. The only thing I even do on the television anymore is play video games and in rare occasions if I don't check a tablet or my twitter for CP24 or CNN notifications then and only then will I check the television. To conclude, yes, I do think television is dying. With the advertisements that last longer than the programs themselves we are destined to switch to something that has less… annoying things. We can’t even blame the people who work on the televisions, lets face it, cell phones, tablets, and computers have taken over the world.
